Description

Imagine a forest, vibrant and full of life. In this game, you'll work together to protect and restore this forest.

One team will be the destructive force, knocking down trees. The other team, the protectors, will replant the fallen trees and ensure the forest thrives.

Set the Stage: Place cones around the field to represent trees. Place a ball on top of each cone.

Divide and Conquer: Divide the players into two teams: the Knockdown Team and the Replant Team.

Knockdown and Replant:

  1. Knockdown Team: Players on this team try to knock down the balls (trees) by hitting them with a designated object, like a ball or a beanbag.

  2. Replant Team: Players on this team must quickly replace the fallen balls onto the cones, effectively replanting the trees.

The team that can maintain the most trees standing at the end of the game wins!

More Play

  • Set a Time Limit: Add excitement by setting a time limit for each round.

Increase the Difficulty: As the game progresses, increase the number of trees or decrease the playing area.

Encourage Teamwork: Emphasize the importance of teamwork and communication between team members.

  • Players:

The more players, the more fun! A minimum of 6 players is ideal and an even number for balanced teams.

Playing Area: A larger area allows for more strategic game and a greater number of trees.

    Materials:

Cones / Trees: The number of cones will depend on the size of the playing area and the desired number of trees.

Balls: These represent the logs that are knocked down. Again, the number depends on the size of the game.

Objects to Knock Down Trees: This could be balls, beanbags, or any soft, throwable object.

Create Game Situations

Encourage creativity:

Invite players to suggest unique game scenarios and modifications.

Goal-based challenges: Introduce different goals for each team, such as scoring a certain number of goals or completing specific challenges.

Integrating Global Goals:

Goal-based rewards: Implement a system where teams can earn bonus points by stating a Global Goal and how they plan to promote it in their community.

Water break discussions: Use water breaks as opportunities for players to discuss and share their ideas for promoting the Global Goals.

Small-sided games: Encourage players to form smaller teams for easier communication and engagement.

Additional Tips:

Variety is key: Offer a variety of game formats and challenges to keep players engaged.

Flexibility: Be adaptable and willing to adjust the game based on player feedback and preferences.

Community involvement: Encourage players to involve their communities in the game and the Global Goals initiative.
